Email Template Builder Overview
Ripple's Email Builder enables you to create customized and personalized emails for participants.

Email Template Builder Overview
Creating a New Template
- Navigate to Study Settings(red) → Email & Text(green) → Click Add Template(purple).
- Fill in required fields:
- Template Name: For internal use; visible to your team only. Use few words to define use.
- Description: Details about the template’s purpose and usage (invisible to participants).
- Reply to Address: Routes participant replies to your email for follow-up.
- Sender Name: Emails sent from email@ripplescience.com . Masks Ripple's email address with your team’s name.
- Email Subject: Customizable subject line visible to participants.

Email Body (red):

- Updates: Made in real-time. Click on elements already added to customize.
- Drag and Drop: Moving content into email message.

Content (red) section contains Elements(green). Drag and drop to add words, images, styling elements.

- Columns: Organize rows into sections.
- Heading/Text: Add pre-sized or standard text.
- Image: Insert images or logos.
- Button: Include clickable buttons for navigation or actions like create/send email.
- Divider: Add horizontal lines for section separation.
- HTML: Add custom HTML.
- Menu: Create navigation menus.

- Customize layout and add spacing/styling to separate ideas or calls-to-action.

- Customize overall text color, background color, alignment, font, etc.
- Allows email to follow standard formatting
- Properties within an element can be different than those in your Body settings.

- Email Builder: Includes tools for edits.
- Undo/Redo Changes: Easily fix or revert edits using buttons at the bottom left.

- Preview Emails: Preview on different devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) using icons or the eye icon for accurate previews.

- Responsive Design: Templates automatically adapt to mobile and desktop devices.
- Device-Specific Customization:
- Use desktop and mobile icons (red) to preview and adjust designs for specific devices.
- Customize layouts for different device types.
- Accurate Previews:
- Click the eye icon (green)for a detailed preview of how the email will look.
- Select from various device sizes (e.g., desktops, tablets, mobile phones) within the preview window.

This ensures your email design looks professional and functional across all devices.

- Add ONE attachment per email.
- Attachment cannot exceed more than 10 MB.

Emails in Ripple can be automated to send before or after specific dates, including:
- Event Dates
- Custom Variable Dates
- Date Added to Study
- Date Added to Potential
- Date Added to Enrolled
- Birthday
- Last Contact Date
This automation streamlines communication and ensures timely outreach to participants.
Additional Note on Automation
If you prefer not to automate email sending, simply leave the automation section blank. This allows you to manually use the template whenever needed, providing flexibility in your email scheduling. Learn more about sending emails here.

- Save: Saves your email template, exits the editor, and returns you to the Email Template list.
- Delete: Permanently deletes the template after confirmation, closes the editor, and returns you to the Email Template list.
NOTE: Deleted templates cannot be restored.
These options help manage your templates efficiently, but caution is advised when deleting.
Copying Your Template
You can create an exact copy of your email template with two options:
- Copy and Remain(red): Duplicates the template and keeps you in the editor.
- Copy and Close(green): Duplicates the template and exits the editor.
