Internal Server Error - Importing

Internal server errors during import are commonly caused by one or more of the following:

1. Mismatch Between Import Template and Data Dictionary

  • Ensure that the data in your import file matches the format and variable names specified in your study's Data Dictionary.
  • Case sensitivity matters: Double-check that values (e.g., variable names, options) match exactly, including capitalization.

2. File Size Too Large

  • Large files may cause processing errors. Try splitting your import file into smaller batches of 500 participants or fewer and re-import each batch separately.

3. Incomplete Contact Information

  • If you're importing participant contact details, make sure that:
    • Every contact entry includes a contact type (e.g., Parent, Guardian).
    • No contact types are listed without accompanying contact information (e.g., name, phone number).

If you've reviewed the above and are still encountering issues, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support team with the import file and any relevant details. We’re happy to assist further!
