Unlocking my Ripple Account

How do I unlock my account?

For security reasons, the Ripple Science team cannot unlock individual user accounts. If you are locked out of your account, please contact a Site Admin affiliated with your Ripple instance for assistance.

First Steps:

  • Confirm you are accessing the correct url for your lab.
  • New User? – Ensure an enrollment invitation has been sent.  Do not attempt to enroll in Ripple without receiving and using the official invitation.  Users must accept their email invitation within 3 days.
  • Previously Enrolled?   Confirm that the user has completed the enrollment process. Verify that the email address is correct and that the correct URL for your Ripple site is being used.
  • Exceeded the number of login attempts or Forgot your password? 
    • Use the "Forgot Password" button on the login screen.
    • Follow the instructions in the reset email from Ripple.
    • Click the link, create a new password, and log in.
    • Check your inbox and your SPAM folder for the emails.
  • Contact your Site Admin if you are unable to reset your password through the Forget Password Option.
 

 How a Site Admin Can Unlock Your Account:

  1. Navigate to the Site Admin tab (red).
  2. Go to the Users module (green).
  3. Click on the user’s name (purple). 
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the user’s card and click "Unlock Account" (red).

For Site Admins:

If you're unable to access your Site Admin account, please follow these steps:

  1. Use the "Forgot Password" Feature
    On the login screen, click Forgot Password and follow the prompts to reset your password.

  2. Contact Another Site Admin
    If password reset doesn’t work, and there is another Site Admin on your study, they may be able to unlock your account.

  3. Still Locked Out?
    If neither option resolves the issue, please contact the Ripple Support team for further assistance.
