Deleting Items in Ripple: Two-Step Confirmation Process
To prevent accidental deletions and protect important data, Ripple requires a two-step confirmation process for deleting certain records. This safeguard applies to the following items:

Participants from a Study
-
Participants from the Registry
-
Consent forms from the Consent Log on a participant’s Profile Card
-
Surveys from the Survey Creator
- Entire studies
Deleting Participants, Consent Log Items, or Surveys
When attempting to delete any of the following:

A participant from a Study or the Registry
-
A consent form from the Consent Log
-
A survey from the Survey Creator
Follow these steps:

Click the delete button associated with the item.
-
A prompt will appear requesting confirmation.

Type
DELETE
in all capital letters to proceed. -
The item will then be permanently deleted from Ripple.

Deleting a Study
The process for deleting a study requires an additional step to ensure data integrity.
Step-by-step:

Archive the study:
-
Navigate to the Study Settings.

Select the option to archive the study.
-

Delete the archived study:
-
Locate the study in the Archived Studies section.
-
Click the delete icon and follow the prompt to confirm.

⚠️ Important Warning
Once a participant, consent form, survey, or study is deleted:

It cannot be recovered.

Ensure that the deletion is intentional and that the information is no longer needed.
